EMS Synthi A – Fully Refurbished by Portabellabz


This Synthi A is in absolutely stunning condition and has been meticulously refurbished by our trusted partner Constantin at Portabellabz (Belgium), one of Europe’s foremost EMS specialists.

Servicing Performed:

  • All electrolytic capacitors replaced
  • All trimmers replaced
  • All vernier dials replaced
  • Four pins repaired
  • Two pins replaced with new Cornwall grey pins
  • Fully MIDI-ready – comes with a dedicated CV/Gate card by Portabellabz
  • Full calibration completed
  • Pots, connectors, pins, suitcase, and panel cleaned and serviced

Non-Destructive Modifications:

  1. Oscillator Synchronization
    • Oscillator 1 can be synced to Oscillator 2 and/or 3
    • Pull the triangle waveform pot of Osc 2 or 3 to sync Osc 1
    • Pull both for more complex sync behavior
  2. Filter Response CV Input via Meter Column
    • Pull the response pot to enable this mod
    • Patch any CV source into the meter column to control filter response

Power Supply:

  • Switched voltage – operates on both 230V and 120V
