Yamaha CS-15 is a very well specified, universal, great sounding and powerful synthesizer. What is more, it’s three mode filters allow to use it as an effects unit for processing external signals.
It is also worth mentioning that, when used with a MIDI-CV converter, the CS-15 becomes a duophonic instrument as it has two sets od CV/Gate inputs.
This particular CS-15 has brand new, wooden sides and modification that allows to route the filters in series (like in Yamaha CS-30), not just in parallel.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: What do you mean by ‘duophonic when used with MIDI-CV converter’?
A: MIDI-CV converters are deviced that ‘translate’ MIDI messages into voltages the synthesizer will need to play. In simple terms, any monophonic (!) synthesizer will need two voltages: CV (that tells which note to play) and Gate (when to play this note). Thus, if you have a MIDI-CV converter that has a few pairs of CV/gate outputs, you will be able to play each ‘voice’ of the CS-15 separately.
Q: Is the CS-15 a monophonic (in this case duophonic) version of the mighty CS-80?
A: Not really. The Yamaha CS series can be divided into two groups: polyphonic synthesizers (Yamaha CS-50, CS-60, CS-70M and the CS-80) and the mono- (or duo-) phonic synthesizers (all numbers belowe the CS-50). While of course they share some characteristics in sound, the polyphonic Yamahas are different beasts altogether.
